Xiaomi‘s ecological chain partner Viomi is known for its cool home gadgets that range from dishwashers to portable stuff like water kettle, thermos flasks, smart garbage disposal, smart water heater. The company has just updated its Thermos flask lineup with the addition of a product we all should need, especially those who are always on the road. The Viomi Travel Electric Cup as it is called is a thermos flask for storing hot water and also a water heater with a 300W power rating which can heat up water when need. The device comes with a crowdfunding price of 99 yuan ($14).
The body of the Viomi Travel Electric Cup is made from 304 stainless steel and has a capacity of 400ml. The flask weighs just 0.5kg, making it easy to carry around. The design includes a hidden power cord at the bottom which is used to connect it to a power source whenever you need to heat up water. The design ensures the cord is neatly tucked under the flask after use.

The inside of the electric cup is made of SUS304 stainless steel which meets the requirements of GB 4806 food contact grade. It has the advantages of not easy to rust, anti-fouling, good cleaning and no plastic odour.
Hollow design is used between the cup body and the inner liner to provide insulation and anti-scalding. After the water is boiled, it is safe to hold the cup. It can keep the water hot for up to 3 hours but under the boiling mode, the water can be kept hot for up to 12 hours. There is a one-touch high-sensitivity touch switch on the body of the flask. After it is powered on, a single click activates the boiling mode and it takes just 6-8 minutes for the water to boil.
