Earlier in this month, an Indian publication had carried several renders of the upcoming Huawei MediaPad M7 tablet. It will be debuting as the first tablet with punch-hole display. Later, reputed tipster Evan Blass took to Twitter to claim that the device is called MatePad Pro. Probably, some markets may receive the same device with differing names. Today, Blass has shared a new render of the MediaPad M7 to reveal the design of the punch-hole display tablet.

Huawei MediaPad M7 (MatePad Pro)

The image reveals that the Huawei MediaPad M7 (MatePad Pro) will be boasting a high screen-to-body ratio as it features slim bezels around the display and a punch-hole for the front camera. The tablet is being internally referred as ‘Marx’ and as it can be seen in the image, it will carry support for magic keyboard and Huawei’s M-Pen stylus.

Shown below are the exclusive renders that were leaked by 91mobiles earlier this month. The MediaPad M6 10.8 edition that had gone official in June this year featured a front-mounted fingerprint scanner that was embedded under its capacitive home button. Thanks to the slim bezels, the MediaPad M7 does not seem to feature a home button enabled fingerpint reader. There is a possibility that it could be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The rear side of the MatePad Pro is fitted with a protruding vertical camera setup that houses an LED flash and two camera sensors. A USB-C port seems to be present between two speaker grilles on the bottom edge of the device.

Even though multiple images of the MatePad Pro have surfaced, none of them confirm whether it features a 3.5mm audio jack. Also, there is no confirmation on whether the M-Pen stylus can be attached to the edge of the device or it can be stored in a silo on its body. Since it carries support for optional magnetic keyboard, it could be equipped with necessary connectivity points. Black and White are the two color variants of the device.

There is no information available on the specifications of the MediaPad M7. Considering that it could be a flagship model, it may feature Kirin 990 chipset, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage. It could also be equipped with a large-sized battery. There is no word on the launch date and pricing of the tablet.
