The latest generation of Xiaomi’s best selling Redmi Note series is doing pretty well in India. Earlier today, CEO Manu Kumar Jain took to twitter to reveal that Xiaomi sold more than 1 million units of the Redmi Note 8 series in India in just a month. To recall, the company unveiled the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro models on October 16 in the Indian market, with sales kicking off on October 21.

The Redmi Note 8 duo offers incredible value in their price segments. Just a few days back, we reported that the Note 8 series sold 125,000 units in Indonesia, marking a new milestone for the company in the market. So, the success of the series in India isn’t surprising.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It comes with a Helio G90T processor with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. A 64MP camera sits on the back of the phone along with an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, audio jack, NFC, and a 4500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charge.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.39-inch FHD+ LCD display and Snapdragon 665. There’s a quad-camera setup at the back featuring a 48MP f/1.79 aperture lens, an 8MP 120° wide-angle shooter, a 2MP macro camera and another 2MP depth sensor.
