Meizu has been rather quiet these past few days, which is odd considering the huge announcements from their competitors. Turns out they were just waiting for the storm to pass, as the company has now announced that they have a major event on December 13th. The company made the announcement on Weibo earlier today.

The teaser poster released shows us what appears to be some sort of silhouette against a mountainous background. The Weibo post also asks “What is OMA? On December 13th, a click into a poem.” The post and remarks under the post seem to refer to cameras, but we’ve got very little information to go off of so it’s all just conjecture.

It remains a mystery what the three letters “OMA” means. Given that the last poster we got showcases a crowded place in the background, some are claiming that the device will have something to do with active noise cancellation. However, now that we’ve got another teaser image that has nothing to do with noise cancellation, the mystery remains.

To know for sure what’s up the company’s sleeves this time, we’ll have to wait for the official launch event to take place in China on 13th December. Since there are still few days left for that, we expect the company to share more details about this in the coming days.
