The Vivo iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition is live on sale in China. Vivo unveiled the iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition discreetly in China on Dec. 5. The smartphone is a slightly upgraded version of the iQOO Neo 855  that was launched back in October this year. The new smartphone is powered by the upgraded SD 855+ SoC and is priced from 2,598 Yuan (~$370).

iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition Specifications and Features

The iQOO Neo 855  Racing Edition features the standard 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display found on the iQOO 855 Neo. The display offers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, 2340 x 1080 pixels full HD+ resolution, HDR10 and flaunts a waterdrop notch. The screen is embedded with a fingerprint sensor. Powering the iQOO 855 Neo Racing Edition is a 2.96GHz Snapdragon 855+ SoC with up to 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage.

The Racing Edition has a triple sensor layout on its back with the primary lens using a 12-megapixel sensor with an aperture ratio of f/1.79. It is paired to an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture rating of f/2.2, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an aperture rating of f/2.4 complete with an LED flash module. The selfie camera uses a 16-megapixel lens with an aperture rating of f/2.0. Camera aids on the smartphone include panorama, HDR, Super Night Scene 2.0, AI scene detection and professional mode.

The iQOO Neo 855  Racing Edition draws power from a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charge. The highlight of the Racing Edition is the 10-layer heat dissipation system that comprises liquid cooling, thermally conductive gel, and heat pipes. These work in conjunction to keep the overall temperature of the different internal hardware components down under heavy load.

The iQOO 855 Neo Racing Edition runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9 with a custom Monster UI on top. The device features a Multi Turbo acceleration technology that optimizes performance while gaming. The device comes preloaded with Game Space 2.5 and Game Box for an immersive gaming experience. Connectivity options on the smartphone include dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB-C, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone port. The smartphone supports face unlock and features an in-display fingerprint scanner for additional security.

iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition Price and Availability

Vivo is currently selling two variants of the iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition in China. While the base variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is priced at CNY 2,598 Yuan (~$370). The higher-end variant with 12 GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at 2,798 Yuan (~$400). The smartphone is available in three color variants, including Carbon Black, Iceland Aurora and Light Mint.
