On 23rd December 2019, Guinness announced that the Vivo X30 Pro broke a world record. The title held by Vivo and JD is for the highest number of people in a photo relay, which means the most number of people that took a photo with a single smartphone.
According to the reports, a total of 546 people used the telephoto mode of the Vivo X30 series smartphone. In the challenge, the participants used the device to capture images on the cruise ship Pearl River Crystal in Guangzhou, China. This attempt successfully broke the previously held world record.

Notably, Xiaomi is also one of the only smartphone manufacturers from China that also holds a Guinness World Record. It is for the highest number of physical stores opened simultaneously with about 500 Mi stores being opened across 14 states in India. This was achieved back in 2018 on the 29th of October at sharp 12 pm.
The Vivo X30 series was announced earlier this month at a launch conference by the Chinese OEM. The latest series of smartphones are equipped with the Exynos 980 chipset which is manufactured by Samsung, the South Korean OEM. It supports the SA & NSA Dual module network and features the latest Funtouch OS 10 system based on Android 9 (Pie). Vivo X30 series is equipped with a 64 megapixel primary camera alongside an ultra wide lens and a 60x super zoom telephoto lens which was used to achieve the world record.
