Earlier today, Vivo confirmed that it will be announcing the Vivo NEX 3S 5G through an online unveil event on March 10. Recent reports have revealed that the smartphone has a model number of V1950A. The specs of the Vivo V1950A have already leaked through its TENAA appearance. Apart from emerging on TENAA, the phone was also spotted at the database of 3C authority in January. The Vivo NEX 3S 5G will be debuting as an improve version of the Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform powered Vivo NEX 3 5G that was announced in September last year. A reliable leakster from China has shared some details on the improved features that will be available on the Vivo NEX 3S 5G.
It is already known that the Snapdragon 855+ SoC will be swapped with a more powerful Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The 3C appearance of the phone had revealed that the phone could be shipping with a charger that will support maximum charging speed of 55W. The leakster claims that the pre-production unit of the smartphone supports 55W charging. However, the company may sell the phone with a 44W charger in the market.
The Vivo NEX 3 5G came with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. However, the upgraded Vivo NEX 3S 5G will be arriving with the latest technologies of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. As far as pricing is confirmed, the Vivo NEX 3S 5G could be priced over 5,000 Yuan (~$717) in China. The Vivo NEX 3 5G was made available in the home market with a starting price of 5,698 Yuan (~$816).
Vivo NEX 3S 5G Specifications
The Vivo NEX 3S 5G has the same dimensions as the NEX 3 5G and it houses an S-AMOLED display of 6.89 inches. It is a notch-less screen with extremely curved edges. The display offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2256 pixels. The phone is equipped with a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera and a 64-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera system.
The SoC of the NEX 3S 5G has 8 GB of RAM. It may release in 128 GB and 256 GB storage models in China. The phone is packed with a 4,250mAh minimum rated battery.
