The Reno Ace 2 is OPPO’s forthcoming flagship phone that will debut in April. While it will be driven by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, it will be positioned lower than the premium OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro phones that were made official recently. Fresh information reveals that the Reno Ace 2 will be arriving with the world’s fastest wireless charging technology.

The chief scientist of the OPPO VOOC Flash Charge department revealed today on Weibo that Reno Ace 2 will support 40W fast wireless charging technology. It won’t be the first ever to arrive with the rapidest wireless charging feature. The premium Huawei P40 Pro+ smartphone that debuted yesterday is the first ever phone to come with 40W wireless charging support.

The Reno Ace 2 is also expected to support 65W wired charging tech. There are couple of reasons behind to support this claim. The original OPPO Reno Ace that was announced in October 2019 had featured 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge support. Also, a new OPPO smartphone with 5G support and 65W fast charging recently appeared on the database of China’s 3C authority. It is being said that the PDHM00 could be the Reno Ace 2 that will break cover next month.

The specifications of the OPPO Reno Ace 2 smartphone are currently under the wraps. Earlier this month, a leaked shot of the phone had surfaced on Weibo. It revealed that the glass rear of the phone was found fitted with a round-shaped camera system. Like the predecessor phone, the Reno Ace 2 could be equipped with four rear-facing cameras. When OPPO VP Brian Shen had confirmed that the April launch for Reno Ace 2, he also revealed that it has a lightweight body.
