Xiaomi’s Mi 10 series will get seven new camera features via a new update

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is one of the best camera smartphones you can purchase now. The phone currently sits at the second spot of DXOMark’s smartphone camera ranking just behind the OPPO Find X2 Pro.

Early this month, Xiaomi rolled out a camera update to the commercial version of the phone which is actually the camera software on the unit it sent to DXOMark for review. Now, it has been reported that more camera features will be coming to the phone’ next month. These features that number seven in total are currently available in beta.

1. Super Video Stabilization
   One of the features coming to the Mi 10 Pro (and Mi 10) is updated super video stabilization. According to the source of the info, this video stabilization will be available when recording at a higher resolution.
2. More Video Shooting Format
   The Xiaomi Mi 10 series will get new video shooting formats including a Hitchcock shooting mode and support for smooth zooming.
3. Pro Video Mode
   The said update will also bring a pro video recording mode that allows users to adjust parameters such as ISO, white balance, ISO, and shutter speed.
4. 8K Video Recording
   Xiaomi already confirmed before the launch of the Mi 10 series that their new flagships will support 8K video recording. It appears the feature isn’t available right out of the box as this upcoming update is said to be bringing it to users.
5. Video Compression
   The Mi 10 series will get a new lossless video compression feature that allows you to record high-quality videos that are up to 50% smaller in size. This way, owners get more space on their devices for more videos.
6. Mi Clip
   The update will bring a new video tool called Mi Clip that automatically analyzes video clips and provides matching music for transitions. It also allows you to edit things like titles and subtitles to your videos. This should come in handy if you are planning on using your Mi 10 to shoot Vlogs.
7. Video Tag FunctionThe Mi 10 series will also get a video tag feature according to the source.
