Oppo India announced on Twitter that it has donated a total sum of INR 1 Core to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund as a gratitude towards the medical personnel who are providing services to the people affected by the coronavirus. Additionally, it also launched an ‘Online Repair Service’ as well as canceled its upcoming product launch.

Oppo has been one of the popular smartphone brands in India since its debut in the country in early 2014. The company even has two R&D centers in the country, out of which the Hyderabad center, which is the brand’s largest such center outside mainland China has filed over 50 patents in a year. As you can guess how important the Indian market is to Oppo, the company does not want to miss the chance to give it back to the community.

Now, as the country is facing the coronavirus outbreak, Oppo has come forward to donate a total amount of INR 1 crore to two separate government funds. Apart from this, the company also announced a new ‘Online Repair Service’ to help its customers with basic troubleshooting and software-related issues as part of its after-sales service amidst lockdown. The brand has also extended warranties of its products till May 31.

Lastly, Oppo India also postponed the launch of its Enco M31 wireless neckband earphones in the country and asked the people to stay home to maintain social distancing.
