Xiaomi has launched a new wireless mouse called Mi Elegant Mouse Metallic Edition. This mouse works on both Bluetooth and via 2.4GHz wireless receiver. It costs only 99 Yuan ($14) and comes in two colours – Grey and Black. It will be available to purchase from April 9.
The new Mi Elegant Mouse Metallic Edition looks similar to the Mi Wireless Mouse 2 from November 2019 but cuvier and flatter looking similar to another Xiaomi mouse called Mi Portable Mouse from 2016. In simpler words, the design of this new mouse is a fusion of earlier models from the company.
As the name suggests, the latest portable wireless mouse from Xiaomi features a sandblasted anodized metal finish to give it a premium look. The company claims the metal used in the mouse to offer better durability over the years and as a bonus, the surface is even fingerprint-resistant.
The mouse can be operated via 2.4GHz receiver and Bluetooth. And thus, it can be connected with two devices at a time. Further, the mouse features a 1000 DPI photoelectric sensor to offer a better experience while using it.
The Mi Elegant Mouse is small enough to be carried easily even in pockets. As for compatibility, it works well with devices running Windows 7/8/10, macOS 10.10+, Android 5.0+, and even iPads running iPadOS 13.4+. Due to its modern design, it goes well with almost every ultrabook in the market.
Talking about the battery, the mouse gets its juice from a AA battery offering 12 and 9 months of usage on 2.4GHz and Bluetooth respectively.
