Meizu will be launching the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro 5G phones on May 8. While the company has been sharing information on the key features of the Meizu 17 series, it is unclear as to how the Meizu 17 Pro model differs from its vanilla edition. A reliable Chinese tipster has revealed some key differences between the two devices.

According to the leakster, the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro will have the same hardware parameters. However, the major differences on the Meizu 17 Pro will be its charging capabilities, LPDDR5 RAM and ceramic build. The tipster has speculated that it may carry a price tag of 4,500 Yuan in China.

It was recently revealed that the Meizu 17 Pro will be equipped with Super wireless mCharge technology. However, the exact charging speeds of Meizu’s wireless charging technology is yet to be disclosed. The 3C certification of the Meizu 17 Pro revealed that it may ship with a 40W fast charger.

Meizu 17 5G specifications (Rumored)

Past reports have revealed that the Meizu 17is equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED panel that has a punch-hole at the top-right corner. It supports full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and is integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform will be powering the device with LPDDR4x RAM. It will come with UFS 3.1 storage. The device is packed with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging.

The Meizu 17 has a front camera of 32-megapixel. The horizontal camera setup on the backside of the device has a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel main lens and 3D depth sensor. The other features of the device include stereo speakers, NFC and X-axis motor.
