A spokesperson from OPPO India stated that the company will be looking into taking strict measures to keep both the environment and its employees safe. The factor will undergo a rigorous disinfection action within the premise. The company had received permission from local authorities to resume production earlier this month, but the confirmed cases of the COVID-19 has caused a halt in the operations again.

The spokesperson stated that “we have suspended all operations at our manufacturing facility in Greater Noida and initiated COVID-19 testing for over 3,000 employees, for which results are awaited. Will only allow employees with negative test results to resume office following all safety protocols.” OPPO has also refrained from revealing details regarding the 8 employees and their hospital location for their isolation.

These cases arrive after the Indian government is looking into the fourth phase of the mandated lockdown. The newest phase will see relaxation across the board for all zones, including green, orange, and red, and is being done to restart the halted Indian economy.
