Almost after a month, Xiaomi is finally unveiling the Global MIUI 12 ROM at an online event. The latest iteration of the popular MIUI is already available in China since last month, where it was launched along with the Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition. Some many new advancements and enhancements are part of the latest MIUI. The company has improvised several features that were part of the MIUI 11.
The company is today hosting an online launch event, which will start at 5:30 PM IST and 8:00 PM UTC+8 on May 19. The launch event will be live-streamed across the globe on all social media channels of the company, or you can watch it here at your convenience.

MIUI 12 closed beta is already available in China for various smartphones, and a stable update is likely due in June. However, Xiaomi invited Pilot testers in India for MIUI 12 Pilot testing on the Redmi K30 series, including Redmi K30 and Redmi 30 Pro. The devices like Xiaomi MI 10 Pro, Mi 10, Mi 9, K2- series, and many others are scheduled to receive the MIUI 12 by the end of June 2020. Later on, the Mi 8 series, Redmi 6 series, Redmi 5 series and many other devices will receive the update in the second phase.
MIUI 12 Features
MIUI 2.0 packs various new advancements, including the new Dark Mode 2.0 moduled with AI for improved effectivity, better privacy controls, and overall UI facelift. MIUI 12 can automatically dim wallpapers, and adjust fonts to relieve eye strain. Moreover, the Always-on Display feature and new live wallpapers inspired by Mars and Earth are some extra benefits.
MIUI 12 also brings improved privacy controls to safeguard your data from unauthenticated loopholes. A new ‘Virtual ID’ security protocol restricts the apps from transferring personal information from your smartphone. It is TUV Rheinland certified for privacy and security controls.
