Vivo recently launched the flagship Vivo X50 lineup in its home market which includes X50, X50 Pro, and X50 Pro+ smartphones. While the Pro+ model will be available from next month, the other variants will be up for purchase from this month only.

The Vivo X50 is set to go on sale tomorrow while the X50 Pro will be available for purchase in China from 12th June. But from today, the company has started taking reservations for the smartphone through JD.com.

It comes in two variants — 8GB RAM + 128GB storage which costs 4,298 yuan (approximately $603) and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model which is priced at 4,698 yuan that roughly converts to $663.

As for the specifications, the Vivo X50 Pro features a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels. There’s also support for the 90Hz refresh rate and it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has a curved screen design — a first for the X-series from Vivo.

Under the hood, the device comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor, along with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.0 flash internal storage. Thanks to the SD765G chipset, the phone has 5G connectivity support.

In the camera department, the smartphone features a 32MP snapper on the front with features like night view, portrait, photo, video, panorama, dynamic photo, slow motion, short video, AR cute shoot, and others.

On the back, it is equipped with a quad-camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX598 primary camera sensor, along with a 13MP portrait lens, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP macro lens.

The highlight of the smartphone is the gimble camera technology which moves the camera module in the opposite direction of the shake, which results in increased stability. The company says that it widens the rotation angle and the anti-shake area.

The phone is running Android 10 operating system with the company’s own FunTouch OS user interface on top. The Vivo X50 is powered by a 4,315mAh battery and comes with support for 33W fast charging technology.
