Xiaomi announced MIUI 12 at the end of April in China. A separate global event was later held in mid-May. A few days back, the company rolled out a  stable beta update to Mi 9 series and Redmi K20/Mi 9T series globally. Now, according to Chang Cheng, VP of Xiaomi, the stable update is also available for Mi 10/Mi 10 Pro, however, only in China.

MIUI 12 marks the 10th anniversary of MIUI as well as Xiaomi’s existence. It brings overhauled design focussed on privacy. To know more about it, do check our launch coverage.

Having said that, MIUI 12 stable update for Mi 10/Mi 10 Pro in Cina weighs only 820MB and comes with build number MIUI 12.0.1.0. Being the flagship product from the brand, it gets all the features that were announced including animated AOD+, Super Wallpapers, partial screenshot, new MIUI camera app, and more.

Anyway, we are not sure if it is really a stable build or a stable beta release that requires beta authorized Mi account. Either way, the rollout for global units is yet to be announced by Xiaomi.

But if you are a power user and have an unlocked bootloader, you can install MIUI 12 China Stable ROM on your global Mi 10/Mi 10 Pro via custom recoveries like TWRP. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to the download link yet.
