China’s 3C certification website is relevant in finding out the charging prowess of upcoming smartphones. It has just detailed what could be the maximum charging speed Huawei‘s next-gen flagship Mate 40 will feature. A Huawei phone charging adapter rated at 66W (11V/6A) has been certified by 3C.Huawei Mate 40 3C

At present, Huawei doesn’t have a smartphone that supports 66W power rating but the 66W-rated charger also supports 40W output speeds (10V/4A). This means that the charger will be compatible with the current 40W SuperCharge smartphones from the company.

Of course, we can’t say for sure if it will be shipped with the Mate 40 but going by precedence, we can conclude that Huawei may likely include it on the Mate 40. Huawei had during the P40 series launch, unveiled a 65W dual-port GaN charger. We also expect the mate 40 series to come with faster wireless charging.
