Huami has not released a smartband in a while but it is no news that it is the company behind Xiaomi’s Mi Band line whose latest model is the Mi Band 5. It appears Huami may soon launch a new smartband under the name Amazfit Band 5.

The smartband has been certified by the FCC and the listing reveals some of its key specs. First reported by GadgetsandWearables, the Amazfit Band 5 might be a rebadged Mi Band 5.

The FCC listing includes an image of the packaging of the band and it contains some key specs and more info. The Amazfit Band 5’s model number is revealed as A1931. It has a 125mAh battery and connects via Bluetooth 5.0 BLE to devices running Android 5.0 and up and iOS 10.0 and up. Inside the box will be the band itself and a charging cable.

The Amazfit Band 5 will be water-resistant up to 5ATM. It will also have continuous heart rate monitoring, multisport modes, an AMOLED display, and connected GPS. There are no images of the smartband, but as you can see a lot of its specs are similar to that of the Mi Band 5 so they may also have the same design.

If the Amazfit Band 5 is getting a global launch, there is a possibility it will not launch in the same markets Xiaomi will launch the Mi Smart Band 5 if the only difference is their names.

There is no news on when this new smartband will launch at the moment. Nevertheless, we will let you know when more details surface.
