Despite the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 being announced on 5th August 2020, the company had yet to reveal the device’s specifications or price. Rather, the company was planning on hosting another Galaxy Unpacked event in September, but now, Samsung’s official UK website has revealed the foldable smartphone’s price.

According to the official listing online, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is priced at 1,799 Pounds (roughly 2,387 US Dollars). This price may seem exorbitant, but it is actually a bit lower than the original price of the first Galaxy Fold, which started at 1,900 Pounds (roughly 2,522 US Dollars). At the moment, the device is listed for pre-orders, with shipping starting from 17th September 2020.

Unfortunately, it is currently unknown if the South Korean tech giant listed the price by mistake, or whether this is the final price. Samsung has yet to comment on the matter, and it also unclear if the September 17th launch will be shared with other markets like the US. For those unaware, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the successor to the Galaxy Fold and features various improvements over its predecessor.

Unlike Samsung’s first foldable smartphone, this device features a better display with a more durable ultra thin glass. Furthermore, the improvements are also reflected on the outer secondary screen, which is now a larger 6.2 inch display. We can expect more information to be available on the full reveal on 1st September 2020, so stay tuned as we will be covering the event.
