Apart from foldables, Samsung has been also patenting and trademarking designs and utilities related to normal smartphones. Last week, Samsung Display trademarked “Blad Bezel” for a variety of devices such as smartphones, digital cameras, video screens, and more. Now, Samsung Electronics has trademarked a similar thing called ‘Samsung Bade’

Just like last week, this week’s Samsung trademark was also spotted by none other than LetsGoDigital. According to the publication, Samsung Electronics filed for the trademark called ‘Samsung Blade’ with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office categorized as Class 9.

The description of the new trademark includes the following things.

  • Display panel
  • Flat-panel display screens
  • Displays for smartphones
  • OLED (Organic light-emitting diode) display panels
  • Touch screens

The above-mentioned description for ‘Samsung Blade’ indirectly suggests that the South Korean tech giant may use this for the Galaxy S21 series, especially Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+, which are expected to come with flat displays instead of curved panels found on their predecessors.

Samsung Blade Trademark

Since the Galaxy S21 series is reported to launch in January, much earlier than previous generations, the smartphones in the series have begun to receive certifications from multiple bureaus.

Now, as Samsung Electronics has filed this trademark at around the same time, there’s a high chance for the company to use it for the Galaxy S21 series.
