HMD Global, the company behind the new Nokia-branded phones, has brought back several classic Nokia phones with modern communication technology and the devices have been well-received in the market.

The company has now announced through its official Weibo account that Nokia has ranked first in terms of 4G feature phone sales in the Chinese market for the year 2020.

Nokia 4G Phones Sale China

The graphic shared by the company showcases five feature phones launched by the company this year, including Nokia 220 4G launched in April, Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G launched in October.

In the fast few weeks, the company also launched the Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G in the Chinese market. The Nokia 8000 4G is now up for pre-order in China for 699 yuan (~$107) and the company will start shopping it from 6th January.

The company also revealed a couple of entry-level smartphones launched in China this year — Nokia C3 and Nokia C1 Plus, both of which are running the Android Go operating system out-of-the-box for smooth performance.

Although the company has a lineup of budget smartphones, Nokia seems to be focusing on the entry-level segment or the first-time smartphone buyers, and from the information shared, it seems to be working for the brand.

While the Finnish company has established itself in the entry-level and mid-range phones market, it has been struggling in the premium smartphone category. It’s been years since the company launched a flagship phone and the upcoming flagship from the company keeps on getting delayed.
