iQOO is going to announce the Snapdragon 870 SoC powered iQOO Neo5 smartphone on March 16 in China. Ahead of the launch, the Chinese firm has been gradually revealing the key spec and features of the Neo5. Today, it released a Weibo post to reveal the display design along with its key information.

The official poster confirms that the iQOO Neo5’s screen has a punch-hole positioned at the top-center position. The chin of the device appears slightly thick. iQOO has confirmed that the smartphone is equipped with a Samsung AMOLED E3 display.

Previous reports have revealed that the iQOO Neo5’s screen is integrated with a fingerprint scanner and it also features an independent chip, which allows it to offer a smoother experience by consuming less power.

iQOO Neo5 display details

Today, the company revealed that the independent display chip can carry out frame-by-frame color analysis of the content display on the screen, upgrade ordinary SDR images to a similar HDR level, and offer improved picture quality. To ensure an accurate visual experience, the company conducts color calibration and consistency calibration on each screen.

It is mentioned in the above image that the iQOO Neo5’s display offers a high refresh rate of 120Hz, an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 1000Hz, 1300nits brightness, 6000000:1 contrast ratio, and HDR10+ support. iQOO is yet to confirm the screen size of the Neo5.

Recent reports have claimed that the iQOO Neo5 has a 6.61-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 870 chipset, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,400mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. For photography, it may feature a front camera of 16-mgeapixel, and its rear-facing triple camera system may include an OIS-ready 48-megapixel Sony IMX589 primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel snapper. It may come with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
