In January, Motorola announced the Edge S, a Snapdragon 870-powered phone with a starting price of a little over $300. There have been reports that the phone will get a global release as a model under the Moto G series. Motorola has now released a teaser for a phone with a Snapdragon 870 processor, and we believe it is the anticipated Moto G100.

The short video teaser was posted on Twitter by the official Motorola Global account. The video was also shared by Motorola Germany which means we can assume that the device will be announced in Germany.

Apart from confirming that the device will have a Snapdragon 870 processor, we also get a glimpse of the device which reveals some other details. The video shows that the upcoming phone will have a USB-C port, an audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a flat display, and a glossy finish.

If the Moto G100 is a perfect replica of the Motorola Edge S, it should have a 6.47-inch FHD+ screen with a double punch hole that is home to a 16MP main selfie camera and an 8MP ultrawide angle camera. It should also have a 64MP quad-camera setup that includes a 16MP ultrawide angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a ToF 3D camera.

In China, the Motorola Edge S comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also has support for storage expansion, a 5000mAh battery, and support for 20W fast wired charging.

Seeing as Motorola has already begun teasing the phone, we expect a launch date will be announced soon.
