Earlier this week, a popular tipster Digital Chat Station from China claimed that Redmi is planning to launch three new phones in the home market. He mentioned that there will be two 4G phones powered by the Snapdragon SoC and a 5G model featuring a MediaTek chip. Fresh tweets from Xiaomiui Twitter handle have revealed some key information about these three smartphones.

Upcoming Redmi phones

Xiaomiui claims that Redmi will be releasing rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 5G. These phones are codenamed Rainbow and Camellia, respectively. The third device is said to be codenamed, Iris.

The final product name of the IRIS model is not known yet. It is expected to arrive with a 60Hz display that will offer an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Its triple camera setup will have a 48-megapixel primary camera, a depth sensor, and a macro shooter. An unknown Snapdragon SoC will be fueling the device.

The Redmi Note 10 5G, which debuted in India last month came with specs like a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate support, Snapdragon 678 chip, 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB / 128 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. For photography, it features a 13-megapixel front camera and 48-megaipxel (main) + 2-megapixel (depth) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera setup.

A recent report revealed that the Redmi Note 10 5G will be rebranded as the Redmi 20X in China. There is a possibility that the aforementioned models could also end up as Redmi 20X devices. The Note 10 5G is packed with specs lie a 6.5-inch IPS LCD FHD+ 90Hz display, Dimensity 700 5G chip, 4 GB / 6 GB of storage, 64 GB / 128 GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support, an 8-megapixel front camera, and 48-megaipxel (main) + 2-megapixel (depth) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. Its 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is likely to be priced at 999 Yuan (~$153) in China.
