The OnePlus Watch was announced alongside the OnePlus 9 series in late March. The wearable is now available for purchase in multiple markets. It even received its first-ever firmware update a couple of weeks back. Now, the company is rolling out another update with a much-requested feature by media houses and early adopters.

The latest firmware update for the OnePlus Watch comes with build number B.48. It brings two new features that should have been present at the launch.

These features are nothing but the missing AOD (Always-on Display) functionality and camera shutter control function. Apart from these two additions, the new update also adds a ‘Marathon’ workout mode.

Additionally, the new firmware update arrives with optimizations for system UI, fixes known issues, and improves system stability.

  • Fix known issues and improve system stability.

OnePlus recommends users to have at least 40% battery on their OnePlus Watch while updating to this new firmware. Also, it warns about poor endurance when AOD is enabled. In fact, the brand claims that the battery life could be reduced by half.
