Honor has already confirmed that the company will be launching its new smartphone named Honor Play5 in China on 18th May. Ahead of the official launch, the company has been teasing the phone’s features.

In the latest teaser, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will come with a quad-camera setup that features a 64-megapixel primary sensor. However, the company has not revealed more details about the camera configuration at this time.

As for the design, an earlier teaser image of the phone has revealed that the company will come with a water-drop notch. On the back, the device has two different finishes — Gradient and Laser, offering a vibrant and fashionable look. The company has also confirmed that the device measures 7.46mm in thickness.

Rumors indicate that the Honor Play5 smartphone will come with a 6.53-inch OLED display offering a Full HD+ screen resolution but the refresh rate remains unknown. It is also expected to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the phone is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset and comes packed with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Running on the Android 11 operating system with the company’s custom user interface, the phone will be powered by a 3,800mAh battery. The company has also confirmed that the device will have support for 66W fast charging technology.
