In 2019, OnePlus made its entry into the smart TV market with the OnePlus TV Q1 and the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro. It has gone on to announce more models that are more affordable than the premium Q1 and Q1 Pro. The thing is that none of these TVs are officially sold outside India, but that may change soon.

OnePlus’ CEO, Pete Lau, is reported to have disclosed to the press that it plans to bring its TVs to Europe in the future. This will pit it against Xiaomi, another Chinese phone manufacturer that has been selling its TVs in Europe for years. Unfortunately, there is no info on when the TVs will be launched in Europe.

When OnePlus eventually launches its TVs in Europe, they will most likely be imported which will raise their price tags compared to India where the TVs are manufactured.

In related news, Pete Lau also revealed that the company has no plans for a foldable device yet. The top executive believes there is still significant development that has to be made most especially with respect to the software. This should not come as a surprise as OnePlus is known to not be an early adopter when it comes to trends in the industry. The manufacturer didn’t launch a phone with support for wireless charging until last year, so something as monumental as a foldable device will take some time.
