The buzz surrounding the 2021 Google I/O event has reached the crescendo on the eve of the event slated to run from May 18 to 20 this year. The virtual event is bound to throw in some surprise announcements and releases. The Google I/O is even touted to be the event that would herald the release of the latest Android version – the Android 12 operating system.Android 12

The suspense has further been heightened with a teaser by tipster Jon Prosser, posted on Front Page Tech. The seemingly last-minute leak revealed some new widgets, buttons, and animations that could highlight the shape of things to come with the release of Android 12.

In recent days, Prosser had shared images and information concerning a couple of Google’s upcoming products and is believed to be an inside authority in such matters. Several developer previews have highlighted the changes that will come with Android 12 and how it will work with devices. There had been a gradual progression in the setup and functionality of the OS when a new version is released, and this is still reflected on Android 12 billed for unveiling during the 2021 Google I/O.

All the little changes, as usual, combine to create an impressive Android UI, with lots of redesigned notification bars, widgets, and elements. Prosser indicates in his video leak that the focus of the latest Android version is the user interface which has been redesigned from its predecessor. There is an almost perfect synergy of the keyboard, app icons, and other elements in the UI. It is also possible that the user interface could be more friendly for one-handed use.

However, there is still much we don’t know about Android 12. Hopefully, the Google I/O event will illuminate the situation better.
