OnePlus is rolling out a new update to fix an important issue with the OnePlus 9R, the cheapest phone in its new number series. The release of the update was announced yesterday on the official forums.

The update arrives as OxygenOS 11.2.3.3 for the device and according to the changelog, it fixes a power consumption issue that has plagued the device. Below is the changelog:

The update is quite small at 106MB. However, OnePlus says that it will be rolled out in stages. A few users will get it first before a wider rollout once it has been confirmed that there are no critical bugs.

The OnePlus 9R is a Snapdragon 870-powered smartphone with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED 120Hz screen. The 5G device packs up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage. It has a 48MP main rear camera, a 16MP ultrawide angle camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP monochrome camera. There is a punch hole in the screen that is home to a 16MP sensor.

OnePlus has included a fingerprint scanner under the display, stereo speakers, and a 4500mAh battery inside the 8.4mm thick body. The device supports 65W fast charging and runs Android 11 out of the box.
