HMD Global launched the Nokia 1 Plus entry-level smartphone in early 2019. The handset debuted with Android 9.0 Pie Go Edition. It was later updated to Android 10 Go Edition last year. Now, two years after its debut, the device has started receiving Android 11 Go Edition.

Smartphones with 2GB or less RAM run Android Go Edition. This version of Google’s operating system is designed for devices with low-end hardware. Hence, the Nokia 1 Plus was released with this version of Android.

That said, according to a Nokia Phones Community post (via PiunikaWeb), HMD Global has started rolling out the second major system update in the form of Android 11 Go Edition for the Nokia 1 Plus. The update is being rolled out in batches and it is currently live in the following regions.
