Xiaomi offers several smartwatch options for buyers in China. All the Mi watches available so far can be charged using a magnetic dock charging. Fresh information reveals that the company could be working on a new smartwatch that carries support for wireless charging.

The below-shown photo shared by Digital Chat Station appears to a screengrab of a recent developer version of MIUI. The Chinese text on the top reads “Wireless reverse charging” and then it shows a watch placed on the back of Mi smartphone.

The text below it reads, “please place devices that support Qi wireless charging (mobile phones, wearable devices, etc) on the center of the back of the phone.” Next, it has a toggle that lets the phone to stop reverse wireless charging battery when its battery drops to a certain percentage. The Chinese text below it translates to “Wireless reverse charging will stop charging when the phone’s power reaches 60 percent.

Xiaomi announced the Snapdragon Wear 3100 powered Mi Watch in November 2019 as the company’s first smartwatch. A stripped version of this watch was launched as Mi Watch Color in China in January. The Mi Watch Revolve in other markets including India. is a rebranded version of the MI Watch Color. Probably, the upcoming smartwatch will arrive as the successor to the Mi Watch from 2019.

Xioami MITU Kids Smartwatch 5X Bluetooth SIG

In related news, a new kids-focused smartwatch named MITu Children’s Learning Watch 5X has received Bluetooth SIG certification. The listing reveals that its model number is MTSB14XUN, and it supports Bluetooth 4.2. It further reveals that the MITu Mi Kids Smartwatch 5X moniker is also associated with the same device. It will be replacing the MiTu Kids Watch 4X from last year.
