Huawei has announced that the company’s OTT platform, Huawei Video, is now available to users in more than 60 countries. The app is also available on Huawei Smart Screens in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and more.

The app comes in premium content from local as well as international markets. Huawei Video app is also the default video player in all the smartphones coming from Huawei as well as the Honor brand.

The program comes with support for playing video in multiple formats, along with playback speed control, slow motion, floating window, and more. It is also offering the cloud-cloud synergy of Huawei Cloud + Huawei Terminal Cloud for users around the world, adds a report coming from HuaweiUpdate.

Earlier this month, Zhang Pingan, Senior Vice President at Huawei, CEO of Huawei Cloud, and President of Consumer Cloud Services stated that the new Video app has more than 50,000 hours of Chinese film and television content. He added that more than 10 million Chinese short videos have reached 230 million users worldwide through its devices.

Recently, the multi-media platform Huawei Video and lifestyle TV channel Clubbing TV have entered into video distribution partnerships across more than 60 countries in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

As a part of the strategic partnership, Huawei Video users will get access to Clubbing TV’s linear feed and video portfolio. In addition to the linear feed of Clubbing TV, the long-format video assets of the channel will be rolling out across all Huawei Video platforms in the Premium VoD (Video on Demand) section.
