Apple WWDC – iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and macOS Monterey

Last week was Apple’s annual developer conference, WWDC, and on the first day, it announced new versions of the operating systems that power its phones, tablets, smartwatches, and computers. iOS 15 and watchOS 8 brings tons of improvements and new features to iPhones and Apple Watches respectively, while some features of macOS Monterey will not be available for Intel-powered Macs.

 

Nokia C20 Plus

New Nokia phones

HMD Global announced two Nokia phones last week. The Nokia C20 Plus launched in China alongside some other accessories while the Nokia C01 Plus was announced in Russia. Both phones run Android 11 (Go Edition).

 

OnePlus Nord CE featured

OnePlus Nord CE and OnePlus TV U1S

OnePlus announced a new smartphone and smart TV last week. The Nord CE 5G, which was launched in Europe and India, is a toned-down version of the original Nord phone with a bigger battery capacity and faster charging. The India-exclusive OnePlus TV U1S is a 4K TV that comes in 50”, 55”, and 65” sizes. It comes with upgraded software features and even supports a camera for video calls that has to be purchased separately.

 

Moto G Stylus 5G

Motorola’s Moto G Stylus line now has a 5G model. The Moto G Stylus 5G has a Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, a redesigned stylus, and a $399 price tag. While that price is a bit high, this is the cheapest 5G phone with a stylus right now.

 

Sony

Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS earbuds

The Sony WF-1000XM4 launched last week and this premium pair of earbuds pack significant upgrades over its predecessor. It also comes with a $280 price tag to justify its high-end features.

 

Razer unveils new headsets for mobile gaming

Razer announced two new headsets for mobile gamers last week. If you love TWS earbuds, then the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless X is for you. For those who want over-the-ear headphones, the Opus X will suffice. Both headsets have a 60ms low-latency gaming mode which should reduce the audio lag between your phone and earphones.
