Lumi Technology has launched yet another Aqara smart home product. This time around, the product is the Aqara Smart Roller Blind Companion E1. As the name implies, the product works with the window blind to activate automation. As a result, the blind can easily be opened and shut with just a single button. 
The Aqara Roller Blind Companion E1 adopts a portable build. It can be installed into the roller blinds which allows the device to control the opening and closing of the blind. It is equipped with a built-in lithium battery which powers it. This ensures that you don’t need to provide a power socket to power up the device.
The device also comes with voice/app control support as well as a timing switch. With voice control, you only need to utter a voice prompt for the device to activate the opening of the blinds as well as the degree of opening.
In addition, it works with the MIJIA app which allows the user to control the opening and closing of the blinds when he is out of the house from any location. Furthermore, the user can configure the scene mode according to personal needs. For instance, he can set it to let the roller blind slowly rise to a set ratio within a specific time like in the morning so that he wakes up to the ray of sunlight entering the room.
It is worth mentioning that Aqara Smart Roller Blind Companion E1 already supports both Apple HomeKit and Xiaomi Mijia dual platforms. You can control the curtains through Siri and XiaoAI voice prompts.
It also supports the smart home system, through the Bluetooth gateway + smart door lock, you can achieve the effect of automatically raising the window blinds when the door is opened. Also, And through the Bluetooth gateway + light sensor, the curtain can be automatically adjusted to allow in just the right light ray intensity.
The Aqara Smart Roller Blind Companion E1 is presently available on Xiaomi Youpin for 249 yuan (~$39).
