Last month, Tecno unveiled the battery monster Tecno Pova 2 smartphone in the Philippines marking its debut. Now, the smartphone is all set to launch in the Indian market next month. Today, Amazon India has published the landing page of the smartphone confirming its Indian arrival.
The Tecno Pova 2 will launch on August 2 in India. It is expected to arrive in three color variants – Black, Blue, and Silver. The device will succeed the original Tecno Pova which was launched back in November last year.
Since the Pova 2 smartphone is already unveiled in the Philippines, the specs for the phone are known. Also, the Amazon listing reaffirms its design and internals.
The smartphone has a mammoth 6.9-inch punch-hole LCD display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It features a high 180Hz touch sampling rate and a peak brightness of 480 nits. It has a modern 20:5:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels.
It boasts a quad-rear camera system with a 48MP primary lens, a 2MP macro sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and lastly a 2MP AI camera unit. The camera island is somewhat similar to that of the original Tecno Pova smartphone. Upfront, it has a single 8MP camera for selfies.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage.
Its major highlight is the massive 7,000mAh battery that comes with support for 18W fast charging support. This is a 1,000mAh increase over the predecessor’s 6,000mAh battery. The smartphone runs on HiOS based on Android 11 out of the box.
