Honor has scheduled a launch event on 12th August where the company will be launching its new flagship smartphone — Honor Magic 3. Along with that, the brand is also expected to announce its new tablet device, dubbed Honor Tablet V7 Pro.
Now, Honor Smart Life account of Weibo has officially confirmed that the upcoming tablet from the brand will come powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T processor which was announced by the company yesterday.
The MediaTek Kompanio 1300T features a flagship architecture similar to the Dimensity 1200 chipset. It is built on TSMC’s 6nm node and utilizes an octa-core processor that consists of four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. It bundles a nano-core Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which is superior to the Mali G57 MC5 utilized by its predecessor.
It is integrated with a sub-6 GHz bands 5G modem which supports dual-SIM and dual-channel carrier aggregation. The company had said that the Kompanio 1300T will be powering tablets launching from the third quarter of this year.
Recently, Honor shared a teaser video for the upcoming tablet which revealed that it will come in a blue leather finish. It also shows a camera module that looks similar to the Honor 50 series. There’s also a SIM card slot on the left side, along with a volume rocker, and a microphone. There’s also an Honor branding at the center of the tablet.
Currently, not much information is available about the upcoming Honor Tablet V7 Pro but given that it is scheduled to get launched in a couple of weeks, we expect to know more about it via teasers and leaks in the coming days.
