Chinese tech brand realme is being reported to launch the world’s first Android smartphone with magnetic wireless charging. The brand is yet to confirm the official branding of this protocol. Earlier today, realme announced that it will be holding ‘realme Magnetic Innovation Event’ on August 3. The brand is expected to spill the beans on its MagDart charging solution at this conference.
We already know that this charging tech will be available on smartphones. According to a popular Indian tech influencer Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), realme MagDart charging solution will be also supported by laptops, tablets, smartwatches, and truly wireless earphones.
However, at the moment, we cannot tell for sure if the company will be releasing any MagDart-enabled consumer products from the above-mentioned product categories. All we can do is wait for the realme Magnetic Innovation Even to learn more about this charging protocol.
Chinese handset maker realme’s MagDart charging solution first appeared in a trademark filing earlier this month. A few days from that, we ran an exclusive story with renders of the MagDart charger. It was followed by a report revealing all the key details of realme Flash – the world’s first Android smartphone with support for magnetic wireless charging.
