The iQOO 8 is poised to launch on Aug. 4 in China. Ahead of the launch, the alleged iQOO 8 got showcased at the ongoing ChinaJoy 2021 tech exhibition.

A mysterious iQOO phone enclosed in a protective case is up for display at ChinaJoy 2021. The front view of the phone reveals that it is equipped with a curved edge display with a centrally positioned punch-hole. This phone appears to be the forthcoming iQOO 8 flagship.

Rumors surrounding the iQOO 8 have claimed that it is equipped with a Samsung’s AMOLED E5 luminescent LTPO display. The screen is expected to support a resolution of 1400 x 3200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. According to My Drivers, iQOO’s product manager has claimed that the iQOO 8 series’ display is not only the best in iQOO’s history but also the best mobile phone screen in 2021.

It is speculated that the iQOO 8 series will be the first phone to arrive with the Snapdragon 888 Plus mobile platform. The device is expected to arrive with 12 GB of RAM and 4 GB of extended RAM. It will come preloaded with OriginOS UI 1.0 based Android 11 OS and a native storage of 256 GB. Speculations are rife that it may carry support for 120W fast charging.

In related news, iQOO’s parent brand Vivo is working on the Vivo X70 series. Earlier today, the alleged Vivo X70 and X70 Pro phones were spotted at the 3C certification platform with a 44W fast charger. It is speculated that the lineup also includes the Vivo X70 Pro+ that may tag along a 66W rapid charger.
