A new OnePlus smartphone with model number MT2111 model number has received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The BIS listing (via) has no information on the specs of the device. The OnePlus 9 RT flagship is rumored to debut in India in October. Hence, it is likely that the MT2111 OnePlus handset could be the upcoming OnePlus 9 RT smartphone.
OnePlus is also speculated to launch some Nord branded phones with modest specs. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to known whether the MT2111 smartphone is the OnePlus 9 RT or a Nord series device.
OnePlus 9 RT specifications
Recent reports have revealed that the OnePlus 9 RT will be an updated version of the OnePlus 9R flagship phone that debuted earlier this year. The 9 RT is expected to feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that will offer a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will come integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
The Snapdragon 870 chipset is present under the hood of the OnePlus 9 RT. It has 8 GB / 12 G of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device houses a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
The OnePlus 9 RT will come with a front camera of 16-megapixel. Its rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera, a 16-megapixel secondary lens, and a 2-megapixel camera. Contradictory reports suggest that it will continue to sport a quad camera system. Lastly, the device will come equipped with OxygenOS 12 UI-based Android 11 OS.
