Already, Realme 8i has already been confirmed to launch in India along with the 8s. The specs of the device are even already in the open. Realme has now confirmed another key detail that would make you want to have the 8i. The duo of Realme and MediaTek today confirmed the Helio G96 will fire up the device

The Helio G96 is one of MediaTek’s latest premium mid-range chipset and it was announced in July alongside the Helio G88. The G96 brings support for a 120Hz refresh rate and several enhancements in the photography aspect including support for 108MP cameras. The latest tweet exchange between Realme and MediaTek India clearly confirms the smartphone maker will use the new chip on its next Realme 8 series model, which was revealed as 8!. The Realme 8i will feature a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole at the top left corner. The device will have a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. It will also have a 16MP selfies camera.

The processor will be paired with 4GB RAM and there will be 128 GB UFS 2.2 flash storage onboard. The device will have a 5000mAh battery under the hood which will charge via a USB-C port.

There is no official word on the launch date yet but the device is expected to launch soon in India.
