Even though One UI 3.1.1 is exclusive to the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, Samsung has decided to backport some features with One UI 3.1 to other devices in its portfolio. Samsung Galaxy S21 series has already received some new features from One UI 3.1.1 and now, it’s time for the Galaxy Tab S7 series to get it.

With the new One UI 3.1 build that Samsung has already begun to roll out, Galaxy Tab S7 series tablets will get access to the new Labs feature that was earlier exclusive to One UI 3.1.1 on the Galaxy Z 3 foldable series. The Labs section brings support of multi-window for apps that don’t natively support it, along with a new persistent taskbar that would further enhance productivity.

The multi-window feature makes all the apps open in either pop-up view or split-screen, making it a delight to multitask on the tab. Additionally, with the persistent taskbar, users can now have their favorite apps pinned to it that’d allow them to switch apps without having to go back to the app drawer.

Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ owners will get the new update that goes by the firmware version T87xXXU2BUC6 and is being rolled out in multiple regions. Galaxy Tab S7 FE isn’t far behind and is also getting the new build with version T73xXXU1AUH6. Users can head to their update centers to find the notification of the new firmware update and in case they don’t see any, fret not, it shouldn’t take long.
