Sony offers a wide range of audio products and its popular ones are actually pricey such as the Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds or the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones which cost $279 and $349 respectively. For those who still want Sony-branded earbuds that don’t cost a lot, then the new Sony WF-C500 is right up your alley.

Sony WF-C500 featured

The earbuds are priced at $100 and have a closed-fit design with silicone tips. Sony says they are 45% smaller than the WF-XB700 and their new ergonomic surface design allows for a more stable fit. Each earbud has a button for controlling playback or calling up your smartphone’s assistant.

Another feature of the WF-C500 is its Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) that restores high-frequency sounds lost during compression. It also has 360 reality Audio which provides an immersive experience. Users can also customize the audio experience using the Sony Headphones Connect app. There is also support for single earbud use.

The earphones are rated IPX4 and come in a carrying case with a translucent lid. The spec sheet says the battery life is up to 10 hours and it goes up to 20 hours with the case. There is also support for quick charge – a 10-minute charge will provide 60 minutes of playback time.

The Sony WF-C500 can be purchased in black, blue, green, and orange. However, some of these colors are only available at select partner stores. You can pre-order the earbuds today ahead of the October 8 release date.

Sony WH-XB910N

For those who prefer headphones, the Sony WH-XB910N brings extra bass and noise-canceling for $249.99. It has a 30-hour battery life with ANC on and also supports quick charge – a 10-minute charge provides up to 4.5 hours of playback.

The feedforward and feedback microphones on each cup provide noise cancelation and users will be able to deactivate noise-canceling and turn down the volume for a quick conversation by placing a hand over the right ear cup. Sony has also added adaptive Each earcup supports touch controls for music playback and call controls.

The Sony WH-XB910N also has support for the Sony Headphones Connect app and comes with the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) present in the WF-C500. It also comes with Google Assistant and Alexa built-in, and users will be able to activate the one they want with a simple touch. Sony also says that users can connect it to two devices at the same time.

The headphones can be purchased in blue or black and will be available on Amazon on October 8 but you can go ahead and pre-order now.
