OnePlus today held an event in China where it launched the flagship OnePlus 9RT. The company also took the wraps off the OnePlus Buds Z2 Truly Wireless Earbuds. The Buds Z2 arrives with flagship-grade 40dB active noise cancellation (ANC) feature and an affordable price tag of 399 yuan (~$62). This ranks the Buds Z2 as perhaps the TWS headset with the best noise-canceling experience in this price range.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 is an upgrade of the Buds Z that was launched last year. It features better sound quality, battery life, connection, and other improvements. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature is perhaps the most outstanding feature on the Buds Z2 but the wearable can also achieve noise reduction for three-mic AI calls, effectively reducing call noise. It is equipped with an 11mm moving coil unit that can be used with smartphones running ColorOS 12 to turn on “Dolby Atmos”.
The earbuds also bring support for Bluetooth 5.2 as well as a 38-hour long battery life inclusive of the charging case. It equally has an IP55 waterproof and sweatproof rating making it suitable for use during workouts. The OnePlus Buds Z2 truly wireless headset will go on sale on October 19 but is already on pre-sale in China. There is no word yet on the global launch but we expect the brand to launch the wearable for the global market soon.
