Google recently launched the Pixel 6 series of smartphones with impressive hardware like QHD+ LTPO display, Tensor chipset, and a big battery. However, some early Pixel 6 Pro owners were facing screen flickering issues. Today, Google has acknowledged the issue and has shared an official statement on its Help community.
Since the last few days, there are talks about the display flicker issue of the Google Pixel 6 Pro. Notably, some users said that while partially pressing the power button the device displays horizontal strips on the screen.
According to Google, it isn’t a hardware issue, rather it is a software bug that will get fixed in the next update scheduled to be available next month.
Pixel 6 Pro users may notice slight, transient display artefacts when turned off, and when they press on the power button with light pressure but not enough to turn it. Furthermore, the next update is also said to fix other bugs as well.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro sports a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It is powered by a Tensor processor and has up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security. It packs a 5,003mAh battery with support for fast charging technology.
