The South Korean tech giant Samsung has lately faced a lot of stock and availability issues with their smartphones. These problems have arisen from the ongoing global chip shortage and it appears that it will even affect the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A53. However, new reports suggest Samsung might be planning a workaround.
According to a report by GalaxyClub, the Galaxy A53 will have two different variants powered by two different chipsets. In addition to the Europe version with model number SM-A536B, Samsung will also release a second 5G version with model number SM-A536E. The latter is expected to be shipped to countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and a number of Asian markets, including India. One of these variants is expected to host a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset while the other might come with an Exynos 1200.
Previous Geekbench listings have revealed that the American variant of the Galaxy A53 has appeared with the model number SM-A536U, carrying an “s5e8825” Exynos chip, which is likely the upcoming Exynos 1200.
So far, leaks have hinted at the upcoming Galaxy A53 to feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 64MP primary camera, stereo speakers, an IP rating, an in-display fingerprint reader, and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone might be launched in Q1 or Q2 of 2022.
