Back in December 2021, Vivo announced the Vivo Y55s 5G phone with Dimensity 700 onboard in China. Fresh information reveals that the Chinese manufacturer could be gearing up to launch the Vivo Y55 5G in the home market. A report by Bestopedia gives the first look at the Vivo Y55 5G and its case images. It has also revealed some of the key specs of the smartphone.

The Vivo Y55s 5G that debuted in China has a model number of V2164A, but the upcoming Y55 5G’s model number is said to be V2127. This model was spotted at the IMEI database and Geekbench benchmarking site in November 2021.

The render of the Vivo Y55 5G that has appeared today reveals that it has a waterdrop notch display with a noticeable chin on the front. Its right edge has a volume rocker and a power key, which seems to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The rectangle-shaped camera module shows that it has a triple camera unit and an LED flash.

The imprinted text in the camera housing shows that it has a 64-megapixel primary snapper. One of the case images show that its bottom edge has cutouts for a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille.

The Geekbench listing of the device had revealed that it is equipped with the Dimensity 700 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 12 OS. Unfortunately, the other specifications of the device are under the wraps. To recollect, the Vivo Y55s 5G offers specs like a 6.58-inch LCD FHD+ display, an 8-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera unit, Dimensity 700, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of built-in storage, and a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
