Back in November 2021, POCO released the POCO M4 Pro 5G. This device is nothing but a rebadged Chinese Redmi Note 11 5G, which is also known as Redmi Note 11T 5G in India. A few days back, the 4G variant of POCO M4 Pro emerged on a certification website. Now, we finally know which handset it may be based on.

According to findings by Xiaomiui, the POCO M4 Pro 4G is codenamed Fleur with model number 2201117PG. The device is listed with the same details in the MIUI code.

Bizarrely, the newly announced Redmi Note 11S also has the same codename and near-identical model numbers.

This clearly suggests that the upcoming POCO M4 Pro 4G could be a rebranded Redmi Note 11S. Anyway, we aren’t surprised as POCO phones have always been rebranded or tweaked versions of Redmi smartphones, except for the original POCO F1 (aka POCOPHONE F1).

POCO-branded products are usually cheaper than their Redmi counterparts. Hence, the forthcoming handset will be likely cheaper than the phone it is based on.

As far as availability is concerned, the POCO M4 Pro 4G appears to have only one single model number, which belongs to the ‘Global’ variant. Therefore, for now, we can say that the smartphone could be limited to a select few markets, especially those in Southeast Asia as it has bagged NBTC (Thailand) certification.
