Samsung yesterday announced that the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series will be available in select markets from February 25. These include Europe, North America, and Korea initially but will soon add other markets too.

Preorders of both the Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy Tab S8 series within the first week exceeded any other Samsung smartphone and tablet to date, the company also revealed. Galaxy S22 series preorders were twice those of the Galaxy S21 series, with the Galaxy S22 Ultra accounting for 60% of sales.

Likewise, preorders of the Galaxy Tab S8 series more than doubled preorder numbers for the Galaxy Tab S7 series, with one in two orders being that of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

In South Korea alone, the flagship phone series secured over 1 million pre-orders, with day one orders surpassing 300,000.

And in India, the Galaxy S22 Series secured 70K+ pre-bookings just 12 hours after they went live on February 23rd, setting a new record.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Series is comprised of the Galaxy S22 and S22+ that come with glass backs, ditching plastic ones from last year’s models, along with improvements across the board. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, meanwhile, marks the return of the Note series, featuring an S Pen and the iconic boxy design.

The Galaxy Tab S8 series is available in three models—Tab S8, S8+, and the first-ever, Tab S8 Ultra. All of them offer improved multi-tasking performance and greatly enhanced ecosystem features.
