Design

There is not any doubt about the fact that OPPO Find X5 Pro has a better design. It is not only more attractive than Honor Magic4 Pro, but it is definitely one of the most beautiful Android phones in the whole market. It is the only Android flagship released in 2022 with a body made of ceramic, it has a very futuristic design and it comes with a front glass protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. There is also a version made of leather, but it is exclusive for the Chinese market. Last but not least, despite packing a bigger battery, it is a thinner phone. Both the phones are waterproof with the IP68 certification.

 

Display

The OPPO Find X5 Pro looks to have a better display. It is an AMOLED panel with one billion colors, a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, and the HDR10+ certification. But the Honor Magic4 Pro still provides an amazing screen with the OLED and LTPO technologies, HDR10+, one billion colors, and a wider 6.81-inch diagonal. With the OPPO Find X5 Pro, you should get higher color accuracy and even higher brightness.

 

Specs & Software

Honor Magic4 Pro and the OPPO Find X5 Pro are powered by the same flagship processor: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 running at a max frequency of 3 GHz, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Given that there are no important differences in the hardware department, the software will play the most important role in terms of performance. Note that the ColorOS 12 is actually a more advanced user interface than Magic UI 6.0, at least in the global market. So you should get something more with the OPPO flagship.

 

Camera

On the paper, the Honor Magic4 Pro has superior camera hardware. It comes with a pair of 50 MP cameras including an ultrawide one, as well as a 64 MP periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom and an additional TOF 3D sensor for depth calculation. The OPPO Find X5 Pro has a pair of 50 MP cameras and a 13 MP telephoto sensor, but the photo quality might still be superior in a lot of scenarios thanks to the dedicated MariSilicon X NPU and the advanced proprietary algorithm for the cameras.
