Last week, Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, had three launch events in different markets. The biggest one was in China where the company unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, a premium laptop, and its largest TV yet. It also held events in Indonesia and India to debut certain phones, which had already gone official in certain regions earlier.

Redmi Launches From Last Week

 

1. Indonesia – Redmi Note 11 Series

The first Redmi launch event of last week was held in Indonesia. The brand debuted the Redmi Note 11 series at this conference. The company announced three models for the country, namely Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. The Redmi Note 11S was absent at this event. Perhaps, it will be introduced later in the region.

The three devices that got unveiled are the same as the phones sold in Europe. Hence, there’s no change in specifications. The vanilla and Pro models come in two memory configurations, while the Pro 5G is limited to a single variant.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G start at Rp 2,499,000 ($175), Rp 3,499,000 ($245), and Rp 4,199,000 ($294) respectively in Indonesia.

 

2. India – Redmi 10

The second Redmi event was for India at which the brand took wraps off the Redmi 10. This Redmi 10 is different than the Redmi 10 and Redmi 10 2022 sold in other international markets.

The device comes with a 6.71-inch FHD+ display (LCD), Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, 50MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) dual-camera system, 5MP selfie camera, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, MIUI 13 based on Android 11, 6,000mAh battery, and 18W fast charging. 

The Redmi 10 costs ₹10,999 and ₹12,999 for 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB memory variants respectively.

 

3. China – Redmi K50 Series

The third and the last Redmi event of last week took place in China. The main highlight of the conference was the Redmi K50 series. The lineup includes two models — Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro.

The Redmi K50 duo features a 6.67-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, MIUI 13 based on Android 12, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage. 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, 20MP selfie camera, dual stereo speakers, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The vanilla Redmi K50 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC and gets its juice from a 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. It has a 48MP main camera with OIS. On the other hand, the Redmi K50 Pro is backed by a smaller 5,000mAh battery but supports 120W fast charging. It also sports a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset and an OIS-enabled 108MP primary camera.

The Redmi K50 starts at  ¥2,399 ($378), while the Redmi K50 Pro begins at ¥2,999 ($472).

 

4. China – Redmi K40S

Redmi also announced the Redmi K40S alongside the Redmi K50 series. It features a similar design language but the specs are near identical to that of Redmi K40.

This handset arrives with a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, MIUI 13 based on Android 12, 48MP (wide, OIS) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (triple) camera setup, 20MP selfie camera, dual stereo speakers, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4,500mAh battery, and 67W fast charging.

The Redmi K40 starts at ¥1,999 ($315) in China for the base 8GB +128GB memory variant.

 

5. China – RedmiBook Pro 15 2022

At the Redmi K50 family launch event, Redmi also debuted the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 premium laptop. It is the successor of the RedmiBook Pro 15 2021.

It offers an aluminum-alloy body, 15.6-inch 3.2K 90Hz display, backlit keyboard, fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, 720p webcam, Microsoft Windows 11, and 72 Wh battery. It comes in multiple variants powered by up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU.

The RedmiBook Pro 2022 starts at ¥5,599 ($881) and goes all the way up to ¥7,499 ($1,180).

 

6. China – Redmi Smart TV MAX 100-inch

The Redmi K50 series conference also witnessed the launch of the largest Redmi television to date — Redmi Smart TV MAX 100-inch. The humongous TV costs ¥19,999 ($3,147).

The television arrives with a 100-inch 4K canvas, 120Hz refresh rate, multi-zone backlight system, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, 10-bit color depth, MEMC, AMD FreeSync, metal frame, and metal stands.

Other features include ARM Cortex-A73 quad-core CPU, ARM Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, MIUI TV, 1 x HDMI 2.1, 2 x HDMI 2.0, 2 x USB, AV, Ethernet, S/PDIF, Antenna, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 x 15W speakers (30W), Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, far-field microphones, and Xiao AI virtual assistant.
